perhaps the youngest vegan animal rights activist in the media

"For myself, I hope to become a more effective advocate and convince as many people to go vegan as possible.  Before vegans have any political power, we need to increase our numbers."

With his own radio show, pod casts, websites, speaking engagements, t-shirt business, and metal band, it's a wonder he ever gets time to snowboard, play hockey, or go mountain biking.

New Zealand's Sam Tucker, now 14 (2010), is one incredibly busy and prolific abolitionist animal rights activist and educator. He began a few years ago after reading Robert Muchamore's Man vs Beast, a fictional book about vegan terrorists. When he realized that the horrors of factory farming described in the book were actually real and not part of the fiction, he decided to go veg and be an activist.

He's the creator and host of the informative and nearly-weekly Food for Thought website and podcast (listen to it here) which features commentary on topical animal-related issues, interviews, cookbook reviews and shared vegan recipes. He also created and maintains the educational NZ Dairy Cruelty and NZ Egg Cruelty websites.

NZ Vegan Podcast's
Elizabeth Collins talked about Sam and his activism back in June 2009 (listen to it here) and in December 2009, Sam was profiled and interviewed on the Veganicious website (you can read it all here). He also creates videos about veganism for YouTube.
